DURAThin Dental Veneers
Ultra-thin DURAthin® veneers are custom designed to give you the beautiful smile you’ve always dreamed of. Unlike traditional porcelain veneers, there are no shots, no drilling of sensitive tooth structure, and no pain. They’re even reversible, so you have nothing to lose and a beautiful smile to gain.
LUMINEERS® are very thin porcelain pieces that are custom-made to adhere directly to the front of teeth without grinding or shaving!
VELscope® Oral Cancer Screening
Oral cancer is becoming more and more common. In fact, it is estimated that more than 35,000 people in North America will be diagnosed with oral cancer this year. With early diagnosis and treatment, the chances of survival increase exponentially. Early detection has been shown to offer an 82% survival rate. This makes it very important to have regular oral cancer screenings to identify any irregularities in your mouth as quickly as possible. Dedicated to maintaining the overall oral health of his patients, Dr. Pollack and his dental hygienists, Kim and Debbie, employ the VELscope® oral cancer screening device. A painless and quick procedure, the VELscope® light system is used to detect any abnormal tissues which may indicate cancer. This advanced screening system can be made part of your routine oral check-up and takes just two minutes to complete.
Remember, oral cancer may not have visible signs in its early stages. The VELscope® is capable of identifying potential signs of cancer that are not visible to the naked eye. It is typically recommended that all individuals have at least one oral cancer screening per year. It is also advised that you schedule a check-up immediately if you notice any irregularities in your oral tissues and structures. An early diagnosis and treatment for oral cancer can significantly reduce life-threatening risks to your health!
The ability to precisely and efficiently identify teeth that are affected by caries (tooth decay/cavities) is one of the most important tools in a dental team’s technological arsenal. The Microlux Transilluminator offers an advanced way of finding anterior and posterior caries, helping our team obtain a clear look at teeth that may be showing signs of decay. This handheld wand can also help visualize fracture lines in tooth structure, dental crown fractures, root fractures, and root canal orifices. The Microlux Transilluminator is yet another method we utilize at our practice to provide you with the most accurate diagnosis possible.

Schick Digital X-Ray System
With the Schick digital x-ray system, we can take intricate pictures of your oral structures in a faster, safer, and more convenient way. Digital x-rays are known to significantly reduce a patient’s exposure to radiation when compared to previous x-ray techniques. Plus, they do not require the use of chemicals to develop the images, which can be time-consuming and harmful to the environment. A digital x-ray can result in an instantaneous image relayed on a computer monitor, giving our dental team an immediate, precise look at your teeth, bone, and gums. This technology also allows us to electronically send the images to specialists and your insurance provider, which can ultimately save a significant amount of time.
Einstein Lumica Intraoral Camera
The advanced digital intraoral cameras used by Dr. Pollack and his team members provide a host of benefits to our patients. Not only can you view your mouth as Dr. Pollack sees it to help give you a better understanding of your dental situation, the images taken by the camera can also serve as an effective educational tool to show areas you may be inadvertently neglecting. Furthermore, Dr. Pollack can keep a photographic archive of your mouth and compare any changes that may occur from year to year. With the state-of-the-art Einstein Lumica intraoral cameras at our practice, you can get an instant, clear view of what’s going on with your teeth and gums.
Professional 35MM Digital Camera
Our 35MM Professional Digital Camera helps us obtain high image resolution photos of our patients’ oral cavities. It reveals details such as cracks and other abnormalities.
